Description / Notes: Taking a look at strength from a yoga perspective ~ what it means in the body & how we can work to improve it.
Since the earliest written word on yoga, asana (postures) were practised to be "STHIRA", a quality associated with "strength, firmness, support, stability, correctness"...but also "SUKHA", a quality interpreted as "ease, softness, comfort, happiness". So how can we work with both, to improve & sustain our health & wellbeing? I hope you will be there to find out!

You will need to bring with you your usual yoga gear, including resistance bands, if you have them.
Doors will open at 9.45am for a 10.00am start & finish at 12.30pm, with a half hour break for drinks & nibbles (provided).
Balance Workshop

Description / Notes: May the fourth be with you! Join us as we bring balance to our yoga.
We'll work from the feet up, though sensory exploration, yoga asana & breathing to look at all the ways we can bring balance into our yoga & our lives. The ability to balance well is an essential skill supports us in everyday life. It allows us to move through everyday activities comfortably, protecting against decline in later years, maintaining health & independence as well as building resilience against falls. All welcome, including beginners.
You will need to bring with you your usual yoga gear, including blocks, franklin balls & soft yoga balls, if you have them.
Doors will open at 9.45am for a 10.00am start & finish at 12.30pm, with a half hour break for drinks & nibbles (provided).
Wandering the Vagus Nerve - Paths to Relaxation

Description / Notes: Join me for a relaxing & restful yoga morning, ahead of the busy festive season. We'll take a wander along the vagus nerve & find ways we can connect with rest & relaxation, through yoga movement, massage, breath & sound. There will be a short theoretical talk, followed by embodied practice for an hour. After a break for drinks, chat & nibbles (great for your VENTRAL VAGAL TONUS) we’ll get back on the mat for a guided meditation & relaxation, before closing. All welcome, from beginners to experienced yoga practitioners. You will need to bring with you your usual yoga equipment, including a mat, block &/or bolster & a blanket or covering for relaxation.
Arrival at 10.00am to start at 10.15am.
